Back in the golden age of comics we mostly had our Batman, and our Superman and even the Fantastic Four and these were fine. Most of these superheroes were pretty generic, truth be told, and with the exception of Batman, there was not tremendous depth in the actual character of these, well, characters. They were strong and they made us feel safe. When you were a kid, who needed home security when the thought of Superman watching over you was constantly buzzing through your mind? Of course this changed as time went on but few could forget their initial surprise when a superhero like Spider-Man splashed onto the Marvel comics scene way back in 1962.

Meek and seemingly unnoticeable, Peter Parker or “Spider-Man” didn’t exactly ooze all of that manly testosterone that all of the others like Superman and Thor brought to the table. It was a different time and a different kind of superhero was required, one that was more human and something that was relatable. Peter Parker was anti-social, was afraid of women, suffered from severe guilt and had a myriad of other social anxieties that he hid under a mask and a snarky, sarcastic personality. Even with superpowers he still felt insecure and, really, that’s what made him all the more likable because, in some small way, he was real.

The reputation behind Captain America goes without saying. This is America’s first major super hero from Marvel comics with a patriotic sense of duty. What Steve Rogers (Captain America) lacked in muscle, he made up with it in heart before he mixed his DNA with the super serum and turned into a super soldier.

This was a great comic to come out on the brisk of World War II and helped to uplift the spirits having a national hero fight for patriotism. He wore the colors of the American flag, and even had his vibranium shield in the same motif. By using his war tactics, his enhanced speed, strength, and stamina, he was able to reach the peak of human potential. This made him a superhero for years and years to come.

Additionally, he was the team leader of the world renowned comic book group “The Avengers”. Although Captain America retired around that time, he took up the leader role and it became his revival back into the superhero realm. Captain America has a timeless position as an American hero. With his abilities from the Super Serum and Vita-Ray treatment, he ages slowly due to his body’s resistance to fatigue.

Captain America is a soldier given a serum that turns him into the ultimate fighting machine. In some ways he is like Batman. The difference is, besides who holds the copyright, is that Captain America is not a detective and he actually does have superpowers. There is also a difference in fashion between the two haracters. Batman prefers a dark and brooding look. The Captain’s colors are as red, white and blue as the country he serves.

Captain America, a soldier from World War II who has been revived throughout the years, continuously battles a menace known as the Red Skull. The Red Skull’s primary goal, in all of his incarnations, is to destroy Captain America. At various times the Red Skull has been depicted as a communist or a fascist. The character has taken on more terroristic overtones lately.

Red Skull simply represents any threat to the American way of life, of which Captain America is a tireless defender. Unlike a certain DC character, he has never announced that he is not an American citizen. The most involved plan to bring him bac could also be part of a plan to destroy him. Readers can find out what happens in the Captain America Lives graphic novel from Marvel Comics.Related Article : Captain America: Cracking Red Skulls and Inspiring Patriots Since 1941

Deciding which character would win in a fight has long been a past time of those who read comic books. Now that the movies have reached critical appeal, everyone seems to be arguing about who might defeat each other in a battle. We decided to take a look at two of the most popular characters in recent memory. Iron Man and Spider Man.

When it comes to battling, it appears like this question is a no brainer. Tony Stark in the Iron Man suit simple has too many guns for Spider Man to get anywhere near him. Spider Man has agility but even he couldn’t dodge the barrage of missiles that can come out of the suit. However, the duel is far from this simple.

Spider Man has something that Iron Man does not. Actual super powers. Spider Man has his spider sense which allows him to sense danger. Tony Stark has nothing of the kind. Using the spidey sense, Spider Man might standa chance in defeating Iron Man in a duel. He would be able to anticipate Iron Man better than any human could. However, the artillery of Iron Man would probably win out in a no holds duel.
